How to permanently delete your BarMate account and data
How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account directly from the BarMate app:
- Open the BarMate app on your device
- Tap the Profile tab at the bottom of the screen
- Tap Delete Account
- Follow the on-screen steps to confirm deletion
Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure you want to proceed before confirming.
What Data Is Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your profile information (name, email, profile photo)
- All check-in history and venue ratings
- Friend groups you created
- Group memberships
- Planned visits and reminders
- Favorite venues
- All associated account data
Data Retention
Your data is deleted immediately upon account deletion. We do not retain any personal data after your account is deleted, except where required by law for a limited period.
